Chicken Bolognese Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 250g, Sorrentina’s Chicken Bolognese Pasta Sauce
  • 500g, White Sauce (Bechamel)
  • 200g, Mozzarella Cheese
  • 16, Lasagna sheets
  • 1 tbsp, Chopped parsley
  • Salt, to season
  • Pepper, to season 

For White Sauce

  • 1 tbsp, Flour
  • 100g, Butter
  • 1 Litre, Milk
  • 2, Bay leaves
  • 3-4, Black peppercorns
  • Salt, to season

Preparation

  • Add butter to a pan and heat it till it melts.
  • Add flour to the butter and cook for 1-2 mins.
  • Set the milk on the side to heat simultaneously.
  • Once the flour has cooked, pour the hot milk in continuously while whisking.
  • Add the bay leaf and peppercorns and cook on a low flame continuously whisking until it thickens.
  • Season the white sauce with salt and pepper.
  • Mix the Bolognese in the white sauce.
  • Blanch the lasagna sheets in salted water for 4 mins and take them out.
  • In a baking casserole, spread a good amount of the bechamel and Bolognese mixture.
  • Place the sheets on top to cover.
  • Repeat the process, but here on sprinkle mozzarella on the Bolognese mixture before placing the sheet.
  • Once you’ve placed the last lasagna sheet, spread a generous amount of the Bolognese bechamel mix and add chunks of torn mozzarella on top with chopped parsley.
  • Drizzle some olive oil and bake at 200*c for 10 mins until the top is nice and golden.
  • Cut into six rectangles and serve it for family dinner.
