DID YOU KNOW

Italy offers two kinds of soups – the ‘zuppa’, which is a simple concoction and the ‘minestra’, which is a richer, heartier preparation. It is the ‘minestra’ that gave rise to the name ‘minestrone’ — one of Italy’s most popular culinary offerings. Minestrone is said to have originated hundreds of years ago and is essentially a thick vegetable soup, traditionally mixed with beans and/or pasta. Try our simple recipe for this Italian classic.
